The appearance of the MP3 format and its subsequent popularity radically changed how music was listen to, bought and shared from that moment on. This digital format that compresses the music so that it occupies a lot less space without losing quality, can cause us some problems during reproduction if there is a corrupted file (due to a faulty download) or the possibility of erroneous metadata included in the file.

  MP3val is a small application that will allow us to check complete music directories in search of files with any type of problem so that we can later repair them, so that they can be reproduced without any problem. The application is compatible with any version of MPEG audio, plus files that have ID3v1, ID3v2 or APEv2 tabs.
